The McKenna Townsend team is celebrating today after being shortlisted for THREE coveted PRCA DARE Awards (Public Relations Consultancy Association) in the South West and Wales region.
Recognising the team’s relentless pursuit of results, we have been shortlisted in the ‘Event, Launch or Stunt of the Year‘ category for our delivery of Sunseeker International’s Ultimate 16 summer event, which welcomed guests from the Sunseeker family to the exclusive venue, La Fortaleza, Mallorca.
Our second nomination is in the ‘Media Relations‘ category for a comprehensive media relations campaign completed for the National Marine Aquarium following the discovery of a Crocodile Shark in Devon – the first time the species had been sighted in the UK. The team set to work sharing the news far and wide, resulting in more than 350 articles generated across national, regional, online and broadcast media outlets.
Our third and final nomination is in the ‘Charity/Not for Profit‘ category for the team’s work with the Winchester Science Centre and Planetarium for its ‘Brilliant Light’ half term showcase. The team devised and executed a strategic PR programme that positioned the centre as not only a key tourist attraction in the UK, but an education-focused charity, with learning at the core of the planned events.
The winners will be announced on Thursday 15 June at an awards ceremony in Bristol – wish us luck!
