McKenna Townsend was appointed to provide social media strategy and support for MarineMax’s paid and organic social media programmes.
MarineMax appointed McKenna Townsend to complete an in-depth audit on its social media channels. This involved a competitor and sector-wide analysis, looking at best practice, creative content and scheduling frequency.
From this, we developed a robust social media strategy to refine and enhance the content output of the MarineMax and MarineMax Yachts social media channels.
Working closely with the internal Social Media Manager to manage its programmes across Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
Our team of copywriters and designers developed engaging, results-driven posts. Utilising videos, GIFs, carousels and images. All of which had been optimised for each platform.
Our campaign planning and strategic direction was to focus on quality rather than quantity.
As a result, MT successfully achieved a more coherent and effective social media programme.
The MarineMax Facebook page reach significantly increased, with posts now achieving higher audience reach. Social referrals and traffic to the website also increased by 54% from the platform.
On Instagram, engagement increased by 24%, while organic followers increased by 12%, and 19% on MarineMax Yachts.
Following this activity, MT was asked to manage the paid activity across Facebook and Instagram for a five-month period. The paid programme included MarineMax’s wider global brands – MarineMax Yachts, MarineMax Vacations, Aquila, Galeon and New Coast Finance – and its 50+ stores throughout the US.
Throughout this period, the MT team set-up, managed and reported on over 200 advertising campaigns and SQLs increased by 54% from the first month to the last of MT’s management.
