Ice skating media event

As part of our PR and community engagement programme with Care South, McKenna Townsend coordinated an ice skating media event.

The resident, celebrating her 102nd birthday, had fond memories of watching ice hockey matches with her parents to skating as a child, making the event a cherished item on her wish list. Beyond its personalised touch, the event also reinforced two of Care South’s core values of Fun and Friendship.

Care South is a not-for-profit organisation and leading provider of residential, dementia and nursing care, as well as care at home across the south of England. Care South offer a full range of care services for people of all ages, from those who need some temporary help with everyday life to people looking for a new home with full-time care.

The objective was to secure national, regional, and broadcast media coverage.

McKenna Townsend invited a comprehensive list of media attendees to cover the ice skating media event.

Results

• Achieved widespread national, regional, and broadcast media coverage, featuring prominent outlets such as ITV, BBC, and The Daily Mirror
• Generated 10,978,642 opportunities to see and hear (OTS)
• Precious memories for all involved
