MT Influence #27

Bringing ‘on the water experiences’ to life and building lasting connections across the franchise network

In this edition, we’ve been reflecting on the conversations, experiences and collaborations that continue to shape our journey, strengthening understanding and creating meaningful connections between our brands and clients.

From sharing social media insights with The BFA franchisees, to connecting with and being inspired by like-minded leaders at the Barclays UK Women in Franchise event, and supporting the launch of new boat models overseas, we’re in full flow as we head into one of our busiest seasons.

Sharing knowledge with the BFA Franchise community

We were delighted to be guest speakers during a @The BFA’s Franchisee Third Thursday session, sharing our expert advice and knowledge on all things social media.

Members from our team presented to a group of more than 30 franchisees, covering topics including what platforms to use, frequency of posting, types of content, and investing in paid advertising. This sparked discussions with attendees, and valuable insights were shared among peers. As Advisor Members of the BFA, we are proud to be part of a thriving franchise community and were thrilled to be able to share our expertise with franchisees to support their local business growth.

Celebrating Women in Franchising

Sarah Townsend FCIPR had the pleasure of attending the Barclays UK Women in Franchise Event at the impressive Barclays Innovation Hub, powered by Eagle Labs in Shoreditch.

Bringing together an inspiring mix of female franchisors, franchisees, and industry advisers, the event created the perfect environment for connection, collaboration and meaningful conversations. Sarah connected with many women who are shaping the future of the franchising sector.

From panel discussions exploring how women are breaking barriers in franchising, to engaging breakout sessions and interesting industry updates, each session offered fresh insights, practical takeaways and a reminder of the talent and tenacity driving growth across the sector.

A particular standout was the interactive session on mental fitness and wellbeing, which was thought‑provoking, actionable and energising, driving home the importance of resilience and self-care in leadership.

Events like this are a powerful reminder of the strength of the franchising community and the incredible women leading the way. We’re proud to be part of a sector that champions innovation, inclusivity and shared success.

US Boat Show Highlights: Miami & Palm Beach

The team has been busy in the US, supporting Aquila with two major launches across key industry events. This included the debut of its first sailing model, the 50 Sail, at Miami International Boat Show, followed by the introduction of the Aquila 45 Sport power catamaran at Palm Beach International Boat Show.

Aquila continues to go from strength to strength, underpinned by state-of-the-art boatbuilding facilities, a consistent pipeline of new model launches, and expansion into new market segments. Its move into sailing marks an exciting step forward, opening up opportunities within the sail charter market and broadening its appeal to a wider customer base.

Boat show activations remain a core part of MT’s strategy and communications programmes. They provide valuable opportunities for clients to strengthen existing relationships, build new connections with both domestic and international media, identify emerging trends, and engage directly with manufacturers and customers – all while deepening their understanding of the local leisure marine landscape.
